About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Rock Hill, South Carolina. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide clinical services, and assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing store performance.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and help the pharmacy manager identify ways to improve financials, inventory management, and the customer experience.
- Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Counsel patients on medicine usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Ensure the pharmacy operates according to all regulations and company policies.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy systems, including Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies and medical providers.
- Develop relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and coaching team members.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy in your district within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
