About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based on-site in Bellows Falls, Vermont. You will work within a retail pharmacy setting to provide clinical services, support pharmacy operations, and assist the pharmacy manager with team development and financial performance.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers, including counseling on medication usage, side effects, and over-the-counter products.
- Perform core pharmacist tasks such as compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
- Ensure the pharmacy operates according to regulations and company policies, including proper verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow and help the pharmacy manager optimize inventory management and financial performance.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance and share service best practices.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers or insurance companies to resolve issues.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including administering immunizations and flu shots.
- Build relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Communicate corporate health and wellness strategies to the pharmacy staff.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
