About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Snow Hill, North Carolina. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the pharmacy manager with daily operations, financial performance, and inventory management. This role involves a mix of clinical services, administrative tasks, and direct patient interaction.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and side effects.
- Perform clinical tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and dispensing of prescribed medications.
- Deliver preventive healthcare services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Support pharmacy workflow by assigning roles, coordinating activities, and managing opening or closing duties.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with medical providers to clarify prescriptions or resolve payment issues.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive experience.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, performance monitoring, and coaching team members.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, and automation tools.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services and build local relationships.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
