About the role#
This is a part-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in New Albany, Ohio. You will assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role involves working directly with customers and medical providers to ensure safe and efficient medication management.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and answer patient questions regarding medication usage, side effects, and health needs.
- Handle compounding, verification, and dispensation of prescribed medications while following regulatory guidelines.
- Perform clinical and wellness services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties and shift changes.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and promote a positive experience.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a certified immunizer or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
- Knowledge of pharmacy information technology and systems.
