About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while preparing for your full pharmacist role. You will work closely with the pharmacy manager to maintain efficient workflows, manage inventory, and ensure the pharmacy meets all regulatory standards. This position is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and potential drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and retail services, including immunizations and preventive health screenings.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and resolve customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with local medical providers and the community.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy information technology systems to support staff and customers.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
