About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Fox Point, Wisconsin. You will work on-site, supporting pharmacy operations while gaining experience in a retail environment. This role involves a mix of clinical tasks, customer service, and operational management.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial optimization.
- Engage customers by greeting them, answering questions about medications and side effects, and resolving issues.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Maintain proficiency with pharmacy systems, including Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with hiring, staff training, coaching, and performance management.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
