About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will work in a retail pharmacy setting in Randolph, Massachusetts. This is a full-time role that focuses on patient care, medication management, and pharmacy operations. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily tasks and help maintain a high standard of service for our customers.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist with pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and financial performance.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with products and services.
- Counsel patients on over-the-counter products, generics, and medication privacy.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Manage pharmacy opening, closing, and shift change duties.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in community outreach.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff training and hiring processes.
What you'll need#
- You must obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- You must be willing to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- You must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
