About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Munster, Indiana. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations, including financial oversight, inventory management, and staff development. This role focuses on transitioning pharmacy services from transactional tasks to interpersonal patient care.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications while ensuring proper compounding and verification.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist with pharmacy financials and inventory management.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus, registers, automation, and StoreNET.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
