About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Coralville, Iowa. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide patient consultations, and assist in the management of pharmacy services. This role focuses on both clinical care and operational efficiency within a retail pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive health.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including inventory management and financial performance analysis.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with products and services.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance feedback.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
