About the role#
This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Plattsburgh, New York. You will work under the pharmacy manager to support daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide direct patient care. This role involves a mix of clinical tasks, administrative work, and customer service to help the pharmacy run efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers about medication usage, potential drug interactions, and side effects.
- Perform clinical services, including immunizations and other preventive healthcare tasks.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial analysis, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET to maintain accurate records.
- Help resolve customer issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Participate in community outreach to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
