About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad position in Bangor, Maine. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role is intended for individuals pursuing a career in pharmacy who are ready to gain hands-on experience in a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and preventive health.
- Perform compounding, medication verification, and drug therapy reviews.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management and financial performance.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and offer assistance with products and services.
- Perform clinical services including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
