About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining hands-on experience in clinical and retail settings. You will work under the guidance of the pharmacy manager to ensure efficient workflow, accurate medication processing, and high-quality patient care. This is a full-time position focused on professional development and community health.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and potential interactions.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and offering proactive assistance.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Maintain and utilize pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims accurately and resolve payment issues.
- Build relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and nurses.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution, or a willingness to obtain one prior to the start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
