About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Southport, North Carolina. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide clinical services, and assist the pharmacy manager with daily administrative and team tasks. This role follows a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Deliver clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Help the pharmacy manager optimize financials, manage inventory, and oversee staff hiring, training, and performance.
- Maintain pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide assistance.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
