About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Pharmacy Intern Grad role based in Sunset Beach, North Carolina. You will work on-site in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting both clinical operations and customer service. This position operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with workflow optimization, inventory management, and financial performance analysis.
- Engage with customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Process insurance claims accurately and follow up with medical providers to clarify dosages, refills, and allergies.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems including Intercom Plus, registers, and StoreNET.
- Support staff training and hiring, while promoting teamwork and motivating team members.
- Participate in community outreach to help grow the pharmacy business.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before starting the role.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
