About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy in Alexandria, Virginia. This role focuses on delivering clinical care, managing pharmacy workflows, and building relationships with both customers and the local medical community. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with financial and inventory optimization.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and share service best practices.
- Maintain pharmacy IT systems and suggest ways to improve productivity.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers.
- Support the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance management.
What you'll need#
- You must obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- You must obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- You must be a certified immunizer or be willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly rate range of $33.50 to $45.30.
