About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Oceanside, California. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide clinical services, and assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing store performance.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare services.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness.
- Review, verify, and dispense prescribed medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties and shift transitions.
- Manage pharmacy systems, such as Intercom Plus, registers, and automation tools.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff training, hiring, and performance coaching.
- Build relationships with customers and the local medical community to promote pharmacy services.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as an immunizer, or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
