About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Halfmoon, New York. You will work on-site to support pharmacy operations, provide clinical services, and assist the pharmacy manager in maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Provide consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Perform compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescriptions while following regulatory guidelines.
- Engage with patients by answering questions about side effects, contraindications, and over-the-counter products.
- Administer immunizations, flu shots, and other wellness services.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties, inventory management, and insurance claim processing.
- Help the pharmacy manager with staff training, performance analysis, and hiring.
- Build relationships with the local medical community to support pharmacy growth.
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy information technology and systems to assist staff and customers.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
