About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in Rocky River, Ohio. You will support the pharmacy manager in daily operations while providing clinical and retail services to customers. This role focuses on patient interaction, medication management, and maintaining pharmacy standards.
What you'll do#
- Consult with customers on medication usage, potential drug interactions, and preventive healthcare.
- Handle the compounding, verification, and dispensation of prescribed medications.
- Support pharmacy workflow, including opening and closing duties, inventory management, and financial oversight.
- Perform clinical services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Assist with insurance claims, resolve payment rejections, and coordinate with medical providers.
- Help train staff and reinforce pharmacy management goals.
- Build relationships with the local medical community and participate in outreach activities.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
What you'll need#
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Current certification as an immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
