About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern Grad position based in New York, New York. You will work on-site to support the pharmacy team with daily operations, patient care, and clinical services. This role is paid and follows a rolling application schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services and counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Manage the compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow and assist the pharmacy manager with financial, inventory, and customer experience goals.
- Engage with customers to offer assistance, resolve issues, and provide preventive healthcare services like immunizations.
- Perform clinical, retail, and wellness tasks including drug therapy reviews and medication management.
- Handle pharmacy operations such as opening and closing the store and processing insurance claims.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and communicate corporate health and wellness strategies to the team.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems and technology.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to secure pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Status as a Certified Immunizer or the willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
