About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy while gaining clinical experience. You will work directly with patients, staff, and the local medical community to ensure safe and efficient medication management. This role involves a mix of clinical tasks, administrative duties, and customer service responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including counseling patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and diabetes awareness screenings.
- Review, interpret, and accurately dispense prescribed medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
- Support efficient pharmacy workflow by assisting the pharmacy manager with inventory management, financial performance analysis, and staff training.
- Process insurance claims and resolve payment rejections to assist customers.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain and utilize pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with local physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
What you'll need#
- A willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- The ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- To be a certified immunizer or a willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.
