About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacy team. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role involves balancing operational tasks with direct customer interaction to support the daily functions of the department.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with the practice of pharmacy, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide a positive experience.
- Support patient care services such as blood pressure screenings and medication therapy management.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing shipments.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Operate the cash register for sales and maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy workspace.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
