About the role#
This is a Summer 2027 internship for pharmacy students. You will work on-site in Vincennes, Indiana, to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with day-to-day operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and helping them find products.
- Help manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking shipments.
- Handle register transactions and phone calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and follow the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens is a plus.
- Good math skills to assist with accurate prescription filling.

- Pay: $18.00 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and location.
