About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to learn pharmacy operations, patient care, and customer service. This role is designed to help you develop the skills necessary to succeed as a future pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to provide a positive experience.
- Develop relationships with patients and offer assistance with products and services.
- Support the pharmacy team with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Perform duties such as entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Assist with patient care services like medication therapy management and counseling.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage telephone inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly pharmacy department.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- The role is on-site and part-time.
