About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team. You will gain experience in pharmacy operations, customer service, and regulatory compliance to support your development as a future pharmacist. This is a part-time, paid position based in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with patients by answering questions, resolving issues, and providing counseling or health services within your scope of practice.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and drug data.
- Handle pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by keeping it clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Operate the cash register for sales and handle routine telephone calls.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on skills, education, and experience.
