About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will support the pharmacy team while learning to provide patient care and services in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role focuses on developing your clinical and operational skills as you work toward your career as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient or drug information.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Help deliver patient care services such as blood pressure screenings, medication therapy management, and patient counseling.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Manage cash register transactions and assist with inventory tasks like ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This position is located in Houghton, Michigan.
- This is a part-time, on-site role.
- The position is paid and follows a rolling hiring schedule.
