About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role involves supporting the pharmacy team, interacting with patients, and learning the operational standards required for pharmacy practice.
What you'll do#
- Assist pharmacists and staff in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient information.
- Greet customers, answer their questions, and help resolve issues to provide a positive experience.
- Support inventory management tasks, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Register sales at the cash register and handle non-clinical telephone inquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Complete all required training and follow standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
