About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team by providing patient care and assisting with daily operations. You will learn to navigate pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and manage patient information while gaining hands-on experience under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on delivering quality service to customers and developing the skills necessary for a future career in pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Pharmacy Department and ensure supplies are stocked.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
