About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will assist the pharmacy team in delivering patient care and pharmacy services. You will learn to navigate pharmacy systems, process prescriptions, and support daily operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role focuses on gaining practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy staff with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle register sales and cash transactions.
- Support inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical stock.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require direct pharmacist intervention.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Pharmacy school program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
