About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while assisting the team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Process prescriptions by entering data, handling third-party billing, and assisting with filling and dispensing.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls that do not require the direct attention of a pharmacist.
- Operate cash registers and manage sales transactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments while completing required training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This position is located in Riverview, Florida.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time role.
- The hourly pay range for this position is $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and geography.
