About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work on-site in Maplewood, Minnesota, to support pharmacy operations and patient care. This part-time position involves a rolling term and focuses on balancing clinical responsibilities with customer service and pharmacy management tasks.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services, including medication usage guidance and drug interaction information.
- Offer preventive healthcare services such as immunizations and flu shots.
- Handle compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing financials, inventory management, and pharmacy workflow.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain proficiency in pharmacy systems like Intercom Plus and StoreNET.
- Process insurance claims accurately and perform virtual product reviews.
- Assist with staff hiring, training, and coaching to support team development.
What you'll need#
- Must be willing to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution prior to your start date.
- Must be willing to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
