About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role provides hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting, helping you build the skills necessary for your future career. You will assist the pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations while ensuring a positive experience for every patient.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with the practice of pharmacy, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services such as medication therapy management and health screenings within your scope of practice.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls and register sales at the cash register.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.
