About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will support the pharmacy team in daily operations while learning to provide patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily pharmacy practice.
- Process prescriptions, including data entry, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing.
- Engage with customers and patients to provide assistance, answer questions, and resolve issues.
- Handle pharmacy telephone calls and assist with inventory management, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the pharmacy department.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, which includes evening and weekend hours.

- Location: Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
- This is an on-site, part-time position.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
