About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, procedures, and customer service standards to prepare for a future career as a pharmacist. You will operate in a retail pharmacy setting, assisting with both clinical tasks and administrative duties.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team members with daily tasks.
- Process prescriptions and obtain patient and drug information using pharmacy systems.
- Greet customers, offer assistance, and resolve customer issues.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle non-clinical telephone calls.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Complete all required training and follow company policies and state regulations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
