About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care while assisting the pharmacy team. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in pharmacy operations, customer service, and clinical tasks. This position follows a rolling schedule and requires on-site attendance in Thornton, Colorado.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Perform tasks such as entering, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Handle telephone calls and register sales at the point of sale.
- Support inventory management by ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical stock.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Complete all required training and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
