About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will assist the pharmacy team in daily operations, patient care, and customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy staff with daily tasks.
- Use pharmacy systems to look up patient and drug information.
- Process, fill, and dispense prescriptions.
- Help deliver patient care services, such as blood pressure checks and medication therapy management.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the pharmacy department.
- Manage cash register transactions and handle routine telephone calls.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Wyoming, Michigan.
- This is a part-time, paid position.
- The role is on-site and follows a rolling term.
