About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy while gaining hands-on experience in clinical and retail services. This role involves working closely with the pharmacy manager to ensure efficient workflow, manage inventory, and provide high-quality care to our customers. You will have the opportunity to engage with the local medical community and contribute to the overall success of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform clinical and wellness services, including immunizations and flu shots.
- Ensure the accurate compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of medications.
- Assist the pharmacy manager in optimizing financials, inventory management, and customer experience.
- Process insurance claims and collaborate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Maintain pharmacy operations in compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Use pharmacy systems such as Intercom Plus and StoreNET to support staff and customers.
- Support the hiring and training of pharmacy staff.
- Build and maintain relationships with local physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Must be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

- Location: Matawan, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
