About the role#
This is a part-time Pharmacy Intern position based in Haverhill, Massachusetts. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain experience in pharmacy operations and patient care. This role involves following state and federal regulations while supporting the pharmacy team in daily tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and drug data.
- Greet customers, answer their questions, and help resolve issues.
- Support healthcare providers in delivering patient care services.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage inventory tasks like ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Handle routine telephone calls.
- Complete all required training and special assignments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
