About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This position focuses on learning pharmacy operations, patient care, and customer service standards while adhering to company policies and state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and drug data.
- Deliver patient care services, such as counseling, blood pressure checks, and medication therapy management, within your state scope of practice.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage inventory by ordering, unpacking, and checking pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on skills, education, and experience.
