About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to learn the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This role focuses on patient care, prescription processing, and supporting the pharmacy team while you complete your pharmacy education.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Use pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide assistance with products and services.
- Support patient care services, such as medication therapy management and health screenings, within your state scope of practice.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle pharmacy-related telephone calls that do not require a pharmacist.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This position is located in Missoula, Montana.
- The role is on-site and part-time.
- This is a paid internship.
- The hourly pay range is $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on your skills, education, and experience.
