About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy policies and procedures while gaining hands-on experience in a retail setting. You will assist the pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Process prescriptions and manage patient information using pharmacy systems.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to provide helpful service.
- Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers with patient care services, such as medication therapy management.
- Handle cash register transactions and sales.
- Manage inventory by ordering, unpacking, and checking shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Handle incoming telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Complete required training and stay current on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Work is performed on-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
