About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on learning pharmacy operations, supporting patient care, and assisting the pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team members with daily operations.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and offer assistance.
- Perform duties related to entering, third party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services, such as medication therapy management.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention.
- Manage inventory by ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the Pharmacy Department.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- The role is on-site and part-time.
- This is a paid internship.
