About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Walgreens, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will assist the pharmacy team in daily operations, patient care, and customer service while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team members with daily tasks.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions under supervision.
- Engage with customers to answer questions and resolve issues.
- Support patient care services, such as blood pressure monitoring and medication therapy management.
- Handle telephone calls and register sales at the cash register.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid position.
- The role operates on a rolling term.
