About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will assist the pharmacy team in daily operations, patient care, and prescription processing while learning to follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Enter, process, fill, and dispense prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
- Assist pharmacists with patient care services, including counseling and medication therapy management.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, unpacking, and organizing shipments.
- Handle cash register sales and manage telephone inquiries.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and stock levels.
- Report prescription errors immediately and follow quality improvement protocols.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
