About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role focuses on learning pharmacy systems, processing prescriptions, and delivering customer service. You will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks.
- Enter, process, fill, and dispense prescriptions using pharmacy systems.
- Engage with customers by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Support patient care services within the state scope of practice.
- Handle telephone calls that do not require a pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy department.
- Register sales on the cash register.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and follow the Good Faith Dispensing policy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Canton, Ohio.

- Employment: Part-time, paid position.
- Pay range: $19.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
