About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will learn to provide patient care by assisting pharmacists and the pharmacy team. You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and obtain drug information. This role focuses on learning pharmacy policies and procedures while delivering a positive customer experience.
What you'll do#
- Engage with patients by greeting them, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Assist pharmacists with the practice of pharmacy, including filling and dispensing prescriptions.
- Help deliver patient care services, such as blood pressure monitoring and medication therapy management, within your scope of practice.
- Handle pharmacy operations, including inventory management, unpacking shipments, and maintaining a clean, orderly department.
- Manage cash register transactions and handle telephone calls.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
- Complete all required training and stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This is an on-site, part-time role.
