About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role is designed to help you gain practical experience in a retail pharmacy setting while adhering to state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team with processing prescriptions, including data entry, third-party processing, and filling orders.
- Use pharmacy systems to manage patient information and drug records.
- Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to provide helpful service.
- Support patient care activities, such as medication therapy management and health screenings, within your scope of practice.
- Process sales at the cash register and handle non-pharmacist telephone inquiries.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Keep the pharmacy department clean, orderly, and well-stocked.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Follow all company policies, including those related to Good Faith Dispensing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Location: Charleston, South Carolina.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
