About the role#
This is a paid Pharmacy Intern position based in Winter Garden, Florida. You will work on-site under the supervision of a pharmacist to support daily operations and patient care. This role is designed to help you gain practical experience while you complete your pharmacy education.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily tasks in line with state and federal regulations.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient or drug information.
- Greet customers, answer their questions, and help resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Handle pharmacy inventory, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Register sales at the cash register and manage cash handling.
- Support patient care services, such as medication therapy management or blood pressure screenings, within your scope of practice.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
- Handle routine telephone calls.
- Complete all required training and follow company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
