About the role#
This is an on-site Pharmacy Intern position in Salem, Oregon. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to learn pharmacy operations and help provide patient care. This role is paid and full-time.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team members with daily tasks.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and look up patient or drug information.
- Enter, fill, and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Help deliver patient care and services within the state scope of practice.
- Greet customers, answer their questions, and resolve issues.
- Handle cash and process sales at the register.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments.
- Keep the pharmacy department clean and well-stocked.
- Answer telephone calls that do not require a pharmacist.
- Report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
