About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will support the pharmacy team in daily operations while learning how to provide patient care and manage pharmacy services in compliance with state and federal regulations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy staff with daily tasks.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and retrieve patient or drug information.
- Engage with customers to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide assistance with products and services.
- Perform duties related to prescription filling, third-party processing, and dispensing under supervision.
- Support pharmacists in delivering patient care services, such as medication therapy management and health screenings.
- Handle inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and organizing pharmaceutical shipments.
- Maintain the pharmacy department by keeping it clean, stocked, and orderly.
- Register sales on the cash register and handle telephone inquiries.
- Report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- This is an on-site, part-time position.
