About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to learn the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist the team in providing patient care while following state and federal regulations. This role focuses on building your professional skills through hands-on experience in prescription processing, patient interaction, and pharmacy management.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Engage with patients by answering questions, resolving issues, and providing assistance with products and services.
- Help deliver patient care services, such as blood pressure checks and medication therapy management.
- Handle pharmacy operations, including inventory management, ordering, and maintaining a clean and organized department.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
- Manage cash register transactions and handle incoming telephone calls.
- Report prescription errors and follow all company policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing guidelines.
- Complete required training and stay current on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a school of Pharmacy program.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- A willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly range of $19.50 to $31.00, depending on skills, education, and experience.
